PUP It Up

Well, the main thing I've done for the past two days is xp on PUP. I've done some solo and some in pts. My main goal on Wednesday was to hit both lvl 21 on PUP and also get my automaton's magic skill to level 45. I just got the Stormwaker frame for Calcobrena (my automaton) when I hit level 20 so it was obviously behind on magic. So I dutifully took him out to La Thiene for some solo action. It was a bit slow but I finally hit my goal of level 45 skill so he learned Cure II, which is just amazing for soloing. Things picked up quickly then but much to my surprise I got a party invite even though I wasn't seeking! Never one to turn down an offer like that, I packed up shop and chocoboed to Jeuno.

I was a bit worried when I dc'd for about 10 minutes (lolinternet) but they waited for me. We got there and went to Lower Delkfutt's to xp on gobs. I quickly shot up to lvl 22 before I had to leave for a camp. After that I pted up with my buddies from my social ls (ArcaneGarden) and made it to lvl 24 before I gave up on FFXI due to my insane internet booting me constantly.

Thursday was a pretty exciting day. I woke up and soloed PUP while I worked, managing to solo all the way to level 25. Yes, I know the xp on that kill sucks. I was intentionally killing weaker EPs so Calcobrena had more chances to cast magic.

So here's where I left off on Calcobrena's stats after I hit 25. His magic's pretty high now so I might try the mage frame next time I get into a pt to try to cap it. I usually use Sharpshot frame in pts cause it does MASSIVE DAMAGE and I can keep it stoneskin'd and have it flash the mob easier than the Stormwaker frame.

After my PUP fun it was off to Dragon's Aery for another day of camping Fafnir. We ended up getting the claim today which is always nice. People are starting to get the hang of it a bit but the tanks were a little off at first so hate was a little crazy. I got to end dirt a few times but in the end we pulled off the win. And the results?

lol.... grats to Jroc for his a: hands.

After that I cooked up some dinner and then ArcaneGarden started the third Optical Hats run and I was ready to get some of that action. We ended up getting 4 o.hats tonight, bringing the total up to 11 o.hats total from the three runs. That's pretty awesome and I'm happy I could help everyone out, even if I spent most of the time like this. I have a bad habit of not knowing when to chill on the damage when I play on my DRK... oh well, was still fun.
